Fr. Jerry Tasikas

Father Tasikas was born on January 9, 1940 in Drosopigi, Florina (Greece). He graduated the Hellenic College in 1964 and the Holy Cross School of Theology in 1967.

Father is married to Presbytera Sofia (Melliou) and they have 3 children: Danny, Vasilios, Grigorios; and five grandchildren.

Upon graduation from the Holy Cross Seminary, he was ordained a deacon and then priest in November 1967 in Boston, MA by Bishop Gherasimos of Boston and currently holds the Offikia of Protopresbyter.

Among parishes served: St. John in Omaha, NE (1967-74); Annunciation in Dayton, OH (1974-84); Annunciation in Rochester, NY (1984-2009); Father retired in 2009.
