Fr. Sean Govostes

Fr. Demetrios Sean Govostes is the Proistamenos of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Plymouth, MI. Father, a 2002 graduate of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, was born and raised outside of Boston, MA. His undergraduate degree was received from Franklin Pierce University, where he majored in English and Communications (but spent much of his time involved in Theatre). After graduating from Holy Cross, he was ordained a deacon by his Grace, Bishop Savas of Troas, and ordained a priest on week later (again by His Grace, Bishop Savas of Troas) on February 2nd, 2003. He has served as a priest in Roslyn Heights, NY, The Metropolis of Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, and Minneapolis, MN. His wife, Presvytera Pamela, was born and raised in Hong Kong. She currently works in the field of financial risk management. Their son, Savvas, was born in Hong Kong in 2007. They began their ministry in Plymouth, MI in June 2010. Father, an Anglophile, enjoys traveling, film, reading, playing guitar and listening to music, and going to Target whenever possible.
