2010 Feast of St. Spyridon and Open House

Troy, MI – The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit, together with the Metropolis of Detroit Council and Metropolis Ladies Philoptochos Society, celebrated the Feast of St. Spyridon at the Metropolis Offices in Troy, MI on Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th.

Great Vespers were held at the St. Spyridon Chapel on December 11, 2010 at 6:00pm, with a small reception following Vespers. His Eminence was joined by many of the area clergy, including: Fr. Dean Hountalas, Fr. Nicholas Kyritses, Fr. John Moutafis, Fr. Chris Dalamangas, Fr. Irenaeus Cox, Fr. Nicholas Kotsis, Fr. Angelo Maggos, and Fr. Sean Govostes.

On Sunday, December 12th, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas celebrated the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of St. Spyridon. Following the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolis hosted an Open House and Reception from 1:00pm – 5:00pm in honor of the Feast of St. Spyridon and to celebrate the name day of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas.
