Metropolis Philoptochos Lenten Retreat

Saturday, April 9th, the Metropolis Philoptochos sponsored an area Lenten Retreat at the Holy Trinity/St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati, OH. Father Gregory Hohnholt from the Holy Trinity Church in Nashville, TN was the guest speaker. He spoke on the mission of Philoptochos in the community highlighting the fact that this mission is rooted in the Scriptures.

There were 60 participants from Dayton, Cincinnati, Lexington and Middletown. Father William Cassis (Proistamenos of the host parish) assisted by Father Ciprian Streza (Assistant Priest) and Father Hohnholt held a morning prayer service. The Cincinnati Philoptochos chapter provided a wonderful Lenten luncheon. Everyone enjoyed this day of fellowship.
