April 16, 2011 -- His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas celebrated the Divine Liturgy for the Saturday of Lazarus in the community of St. Nicholas Church in Troy, MI. Participating priests included Fr. Stratton Dorozenski (Proistamenos), Fr. Chris Dalamangas, Fr. George Hatz and Fr. Charles Sarelis. On this occasion, Metropolitan Nicholas bestowed the Office of Protopresbyter to Fr. George Hatz in recognition of his dedicated service to the Church and the Holy Metropolis of Detroit. Also present was Fr. George's beloved wife, Presbytera Helen. Axios, Father George! |
