Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries

The Metropolis of Detroit Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries is committed to providing quality resources and programs to meet the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of the youth and young adults of the Metropolis. We are blessed to provide a variety of spiritual retreats, sports ministries, summer camping ministries, and youth worker resources to fulfill these needs.

The youth of the Metropolis are not the future of Orthodoxy… they are the present. Therefore, the mission of this office is paramount to the spiritual formation of our youth. More importantly, youth and young adult ministries are vital to the strength and growth of Christ’s Church.

Eva Kokinos is a native of Anderson, IN. She has been serving as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Detroit since September 2003. She received a B.A. in Speech Communications from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Eva is a graduate of Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline, MA, receiving a Masters in Theological Studies in 2003.
